Pineapple Pretzel Salad

1 cup crushed pretzels
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar

1 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
1 8 ounce cool whip
1/2 cup sugar

1 No. 2 can crushed pineapple, drained, save juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Mix pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
Press in bottom of 9 X 13 inch pan.

Mix cream cheese, cool whip and 1/2 cup sugar.
Spread on crust.

Drain pineapple juice into a saucepan.
Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch together.
Add to juice.
Cook until thickened.
Add pineapple.
Mix well.
Spread on top of salad
